Recruitment for participation in the 3for1 project was completed in July 2024. No further admissions to the project are possible.

What does participation in the 3for1-project look like?

Project participation includes two parts:

1) Participation in the intervention and its three components.

2) Participation in the scientific evaluation examining the effectiveness of the three components.

Participating in the intervention

After joining the project, you can take part in the three 3for1-components for up to 12 months.
You can participate in one, two or three of the components simultaneously or consecutively.
You decide yourself which components you choose and how to combine them.
You are interested in joining one intervention component, or have remaining questions concerning them? Please contact our local research staff member – they will get you in touch with the component providers.
Note: We do not share information that is given to us with the job centre. This happens only with your explicit permission and in individual cases.
During your participation, you are insured via the Ulm University Medical Centre.
Transportation costs incurred in the context of project participation will be refunded.
If you do not wish to participate in our project anymore, please contact us as soon as possible. We have limited capacities and others on the waiting list would happily take your place.

If you participate in the project, we would like to ask you questions over a duration of 1.5 years to assess your personal well-being and how your situation is developing over this timeframe.
By answering our questionnaires and interviews, you would provide a valuable contribution to research on support programmes for psychologically distressed job centre clients.
3 online questionnaires: at project entry, after one year, and after 1.5 years; duration: approx. 30 minutes.
4 interviews: at project entry, after 6 months, after one year, and after 1.5 years; duration: approx. 15-30 minutes. It is possible to conduct the interviews remotely via telephone.
We offer an expense allowance of up to 25€ in total.
Data protection: Your data will be anonymised and stored through the involved University Medical Centres Ulm and Tübingen – it will not be possible to identify you as a person.
